Wildlife & Community Internship

This unique internship experience offers an opportunity to contribute directly to wildlife conservation, education, and community upliftment in Namibia. Whether you’re a budding researcher or a passionate educator, Naankuse provides an immersive environment where your skills and enthusiasm can make a real difference.

IMPORTANT: All internship applications must first undergo an approval process before candidates can officially join the internship programme.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Windhoek

Arrive in Windhoek and transfer to the Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary. Get settled into your accommodation and receive an introduction to the internship program and team.

  • Accommodation: On-site at Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary

  • Meals: Dinner

  • Activities: Orientation, welcome meeting

Dive into your specific internship track — Research Internship or Primary School Education Internship. Work alongside experienced staff in various conservation and community projects.

Research Internship:

Join Naankuse’s experienced research team in in-situ conservation efforts, gaining valuable hands-on field experience. Participate in wildlife monitoring, data collection, and scientific observation.

Primary School Education Internship:

Support Naankuse Primary School, teaching children from Grades 0 to 7. Contribute to academic development, while also introducing conservation and sustainability lessons as part of a well-rounded education.
